It means you could literally be working with any client, on any subject or theme and makes every day a new challenge and opportunity to deliver the very best customised crystal awards and trophies for your event.
In an increasingly online world, it’s great that the events market is still thriving. Nothing can replace face to face contact, the social occasion, the interaction, the networking or the buzz of a great event – it’s a business benefit that is invaluable.
Exhibition News recently reported that the exhibition market is still very strong with good visitor numbers to events and the predictions for 2018 are continued growth.
“..the global B2B events market continues to grow steadily. Analysis by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) found that the market has been growing at a compound annual rate of c.5%, from $40.5bn in 2014 to a projected $49.5bn in 2018. CEIR forecasts this trend to continue for the coming decade.” Exhibition News
This is really good news for all of us working in the events market.
However, Eventbrite were concerned that increased growth in the events industry was a result of an increasingly competitive market sector in their recent ‘Pulse Event Industry Report 2018’ they state:-
“Anticipation of growth is perhaps explained by the fact that a large number of event organisers express concern over increased competition in the marketplace. 31% say increased competition will have the biggest impact on their events in 2018.”

Historically and unsurprisingly a key reason for organising events has been to drive revenue. According to the Pulse Event Industry Report 2018, there has been a visible change in 2018 in both the reasons for holding events and the types of company actually organising them.
There has been noticeable growth in 2 key areas of the types of event organised this year, namely charities and non-profitable organisations increasing by 36%; and SMEs increasing by 21% – this is pretty significant. This change has impacted the reasons for holding the events themselves, no longer is making money the main focus for many organisations.(Source: Pulse Event Industry Report 2018)
This shift in thinking about why we’re holding events – a noticeable step-change – is refreshing, and reflects the way successful brands are engaging their customers: less about pitching and product, more about education, community and inspiration.

It’s great to see events evolving to become brands and this combined with the shift in visitor focus towards valuing education and wanting to be part of the event buzz means that finding your events USP is really important– something that sets your fabulous event apart from the crowd.

Interestingly, it was reported that approximately 40% of exhibitions in 2017 took place in March, October and November. These are amongst our busiest times so it makes sense to plan ahead with your crystal awards.
