It’s been a busy time here at Laser Crystal with the lead up to the Christmas holidays and expanding our team. As we are growing our business, we need the right people to join the team in order to not only sustain but surpass our growth expectations and take us to the next level. This is why we are so pleased to announce that Katy Hartley has joined our Sales team earlier this year. Katy is responsible for bringing your design ideas to life and ensuring that we deliver your awards when it matters most to you.
As our crystal gifts and awards are truly versatile and suitable for various industries, it is extremely important for the person fulfilling this role to truly understand the potential of our product and the endless possibilities that we offer to our customers. Katy has hit the ground running, she is extremely organised and brings a wealth of experience across many sectors. Excited to return to working full time and further develop her career, Katy has agreed to answer a few questions about the life at Laser Crystal and her new position.
LC: Describe yourself in three words:
KH: Smiley, box set binger, and ambitious.
LC: How does your day look like at work?
KH: It’s really busy and hands-on. We usually kick off the morning with a production meeting in order to set out our priorities and ensure our awards are delivered on time. This is followed up by checking my emails and answering clients’ enquiries. Some days, the phones keep ringing too and I have to think quick on my feet and be able to provide creative award design ideas to our clients. It’s challenging, but I absolutely love it.
LC: What do you like most about joining Laser Crystal?
KH: Being new to Laser Crystal and seeing the fabulous awards and gifts we create is indeed fascinating. I’m amazed at how intricate the 3D engraving is with small details being visible.
The colour print that we add really brings the award to life too. I just love learning all about the design processes we offer, as the design team keep developing and bringing new ideas to life. I’ve just about got to grips with all the shapes!
LC: What’s your favourite crystal shape?
KH: I would have to say the Dome Tower. The crystal itself is absolutely stunning and when combined with our innovative designs, it creates something really special.
LC: What’s most challenging in the role with Laser Crystal?
KH: It’s so fast-paced with so much to know! I love working in a small company where I can really make a difference and feel like part of the team.
LC: What would you advise clients looking for awards for their events?
KH: Don’t go cheap! There are so many cheap alternatives out there but nothing screams success and recognition, like a quality award. This is the case especially when companies are rewarding their staff with anniversary or appreciation awards or when events provide awards to various companies for their achievements. An award is something people are proud to display and shout about, make them feel special and invest in a quality product.
